Super freundliches Personal. Das Essen war wirklich lecker. Wir hatten das Frankfurter Schnitzel, die Rinderroulade und als Dessert einen Kaiserschmarrn. Das Essen und vor allem die Getränke kamen sehr schnell zum Tisch. Wir werden ganz bestimmt wieder kommen!

Trotz mehrfacher deutlicher Rückmeldungen (Qualität des Essens, mittelmäßiger Apfelwein, das eigentlich grossartige Bier ist leider meist schal) nach dem Wechsel von Hehl zu Jost hat sich nichts zum Besseren verändert. Der Service ist dagegen immer absolut klasse gewesen und hat uns die anderen Unzulänglichkeiten vergessen lassen. Heute nun dann das i-Tüpfelchen: mit einer größeren Gruppe waren wir dort verabredet. Die klar kommunizieren Öffnungszeiten (Di-So 17.00 -22.00) sind Makulatur: die Hütte bleibt zu. Die Telefonnummer ist abgeschaltet, website existiert nicht, nur durch die Nachbarn erfahren wir, daß am Wochenende noch geöffnet war. Der verlassene, leidlich aufgeräumte Biergarten betont nur noch den Gesamteindruck: lieblos. Lieber Herr Jost, wir sind immer gerne bei Ihnen gewesen und wissen auch dass es nicht mehr das Ebbelwoi Hehl ist, aber tun Sie bitte was, dass wir trotzden wiederkommen wollen!

Der Eingang zum Aussengelände ist einfach. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten sollten mal gepflegt werden. Die Splitter schauen aus den Bänken. Das Sauerkraut schmeckt nicht so wirklich. Die Schnitzel sind zart ,aus dem Rücken und die Grüne Soße ist gut abgerundet. Der Handkäse ist auch nur OK! Wartezeit bei keiner großen Auslastung OK! Zum Abendessen gehen reicht es allemal. Vom Hocker haut es mich nicht. Mit 4 Personen essen und trinken. 100 Euro ist auch gerade noch im Normbereich. Parken ist eine reine Katastrophe.

Visited the place first time after new owner took over. The place looks familiar and modernised at the same time. The menu is still traditional Frankfurt cuisine and still delicious. We ordered two types of schnitzel and we were both happy. Kaiserschmarrn could be crispier. Overall we are happy to have our ebbelwoi back.

Wir waren heute zu dritt zum Essen im Lokal und haben zuerst draußen im Biergarten gesessen, der bei schönem Wetter einen schönen ruhigen Platz zum Verweilen bietet. Dort hatten wir zum Äppler einen Handkäse als Vorspeise. Gut angemacht, schmackhaft, frisches leckeres Brot, wirklich lecker. Dann sind wir für das weitere Essen in die Gaststätte, die stilgerecht einfach aber sehr gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Dann kamen die Schnitzel mit grüner Soße und Champignonrahm, die ebenfalls super-lecker waren. Die Schnitzel waren kross und saftig, die Bratkartoffeln gut gewürzt und wir waren danach ordentlich satt. Der Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam, von daher in Summe ein gelungener Abend.
